GutCheck, a product of 168th Street Entertainment, LLC (a Missouri company), is a tool that gives you a fast read on a business idea. This page explains what data the tool touches, why it touches it, and what happens to it afterward. It is short because we collect very little.
What we collect and why
Your name and email
If you ask GutCheck to build a business plan, we ask for your email (required) and your name (optional). We use them to deliver the plan and we may follow up about it. The email may be sent to our customer relationship system through a webhook. You can ask us to delete your email at any time by writing to privacy@frameworkstudio.dev. Reading a verdict does not require an email.
The idea you submit
The text you type about your business idea is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic and/or OpenAI) to produce the analysis. That is the whole point of the tool, and it is the only reason your idea text leaves your browser. We do not use your idea to train AI models.
Your IP address
We use your IP address briefly to enforce rate limits, so one person cannot flood the service. When configured, the counter lives in Upstash Redis and expires on its own. We do not use your IP address to identify you.
Error reports
When something breaks, error and diagnostic data may be sent to Sentry, a monitoring service, so we can fix it. This is technical data about the failure, collected only when Sentry is configured.
Saved analyses
When you save an analysis or a business plan, it is stored in your own browser (localStorage), never on our servers. We cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we do not collect
There are no accounts, no passwords, and no payments. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not set cookies beyond anything strictly needed for the services described above.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers named above (AI providers for the analysis, Upstash for rate limiting, Sentry for errors, and our customer relationship system for captured emails), and only so the tool can work. We do not sell your data.
Your choices
To have a captured email deleted, write to privacy@frameworkstudio.dev and we will remove it. Saved analyses live in your browser, so deleting them is in your hands: remove them in the app or clear your browser data.
Children
GutCheck is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Where we operate
We operate in the United States, and your data is processed there.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its date.
